Federal Circuit reinstates $119.6M patent award for Apple against Samsung

A federal appeals court on Friday reinstated a nearly $120 million jury award in favor of Apple Inc., which had accused Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. of infringing three of the iPhone maker's patents.

A federal appeals court on Friday reinstated a nearly $120 million jury award in favor of Apple Inc., which had accused Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. of infringing three of the iPhone maker's patents.

The en banc decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit rejected a February decision by a three-judge panel that reversed a district court's verdict in favor of Samsung.
