State high court considers ACLU bid for county's litigation costs

The state Supreme Court must decide between open government and the attorney-client privilege in a dispute between the American Civil Liberties Union and Los Angeles County.

SAN FRANCISCO — The state Supreme Court heard oral argument Thursday in a case that asks the justices what trumps — disclosure provisions in the state's public records act or the attorney-client privilege.
