Smoke insurance settlement gets preliminary approval

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge has preliminarily approved a breach of contract class action settlement against Automobile Club of Southern California.

LOS ANGELES — A superior court judge preliminarily approved Tuesday a settlement that could pay class members in a fire insurance bad faith case up to 90 percent on each dollar of a claim.
