CJP publicly admonishes judge who joked about jurors' finances

Ruling 'chills' human interaction during jury selection, judge's attorney says.

Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Edmund W. Clarke Jr. was publicly admonished Thursday by the Commission on Judicial Performance, which found his actions and words to four potential jurors during voir dire to be "discourteous, undignified and inappropriate."
