USC football player sues NCAA, claiming to be an employee

College football players are employees of the National Collegiate Athletics Association and should be compensated for their athletic pursuits, a former University of Southern California linebacker argued in a complaint filed this week.

College football players are employees of the National Collegiate Athletics Association and should be compensated for their athletic pursuits, a former University of Southern California linebacker argued in a complaint filed this week.

The suit represents the latest effort by former college athletes nationally to be legally recognized as compensable workers.
