BP cases stayed pending bellwether appeal

A dispute over whether Arco gasoline was discount or premium will affect remaining 50 stations in suit.

LOS ANGELES — About 50 plaintiff Arco gas station franchisees received an eight-month stay Monday on claims that they were overcharged for gasoline, in hopes a split bellwether verdict currently on appeal will clarify whether a jury will consider the gas discount or premium.
