Pharma Reps Fight On For Overtime Pay

A big federal appellate win out of Arizona this week for the pharmaceutical industry's right to deny overtime pay to sales representatives might not apply to similar California cases, lawyers said.

A big federal appellate win out of Arizona this week for the pharmaceutical industry's right to deny overtime pay to sales representatives might not apply to similar California cases, lawyers said. The Arizona litigation, decided Monday by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, involved federal law, while the California cases concern wage orders from the state's Industrial Welfare Commission.
