PALO ALTO - Intellectual Ventures LLC, a holding company that has for years acquired and licensed patents without heading to court, is now enmeshed in litigation on both coasts.
Xilinx Inc., a San Jose-based technology company, filed a lawsuit earlier this week seeking a declaratory judgment that Intellectual Ventures' patents are invalid or that Xilinx does not infringe on the patents.
