SANTA ANA - An Irvine lawyer is scheduled to be arraigned today on 27 counts of grand theft and fraud for allegedly stealing $898,000 from 11 victims.
Working with two nonlawyers, Jan Morton Heger persuaded the victims to pay fees from $25,000 to $177,000 to invest in a purported gold mine in Ghana. People v. Heger, 11CF0215.
