Lawmakers Scold AOC

A committee meeting on the California Court Case Management System at times resembled a public scolding of state courts administrators. But that was the easy part.

SACRAMENTO - One week after the state auditor released a blistering report on the Administrative Office of the Court's handling of a massive technology project, lawmakers wrestled with questions of whether and how to proceed with the project. They also questioned whether the Legislature can maintain oversight over the court system, given the judiciary's role as the third branch of government.
