Davila Confirmed to Federal Bench
The Senate unanimoulsy confirmed Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Edward J. Davila to join the federal bench in San Francisco, filling a seat that's been declared a judicial emergency.

WASHINGTON - Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Edward J. Davila won Senate confirmation to join the federal bench in San Francisco by a unanimous vote Monday.
Davila will fill a vacancy in the Northern District left open since October 2009 - a seat that is considered a judicial emergency by the Administrative Office of the Courts due to its heavy caseload.
