Archdiocese Fighting SF Over Big Tax Bill

The Archdiocese of San Francisco is in court fighting the City of San Francisco over a $20 million property tax bill it claims it the church should have been exempt from.

SAN FRANCISCO - Lawyers for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of San Francisco headed to court this week to fight a $21 million tax bill the church received after transferring ownership of hundreds of its Bay Area properties.
