Judge Can't Be Censured for Remarks

A controversial nominee to a Northern District judgeship cannot be disciplined for remarks he made as a magistrate judge, the 9th Circuit ruled Wednesday.

A controversial nominee to a Northern District judgeship cannot be disciplined for comments he made as a magistrate judge, 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals Chief Judge Alex Kozinski ruled on Wednesday.
