Online Upstart's IPO Shows Demand Rising

With some of heavy-hitters in social media broadcasting their intentions to go public in 2011 and 2012, even the mid-sized Internet players like Demand Media seem to be getting a boost.

With speculation swirling that heavy hitters in social media will go public in 2011 and 2012, even the mid-sized Internet players seem to be getting a boost.


First up is Demand Media, whose initial public offering is scheduled for this week, with the company looking to sell 4.5 million shares at about $15 each in hopes of raising $58.1 million.
