Orange County DA Asks to Lead Toyota Suits

Orange County D.A. Tony Rackauckas is expected to personally ask a state judge today to allow his office to try the first in a parade of cases against Toyota Motor Corp. over unintended acceleration problems.

Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas plans to ask a state judge today to allow his office to try the first in a parade of cases against Toyota Motor Corp. over unintended acceleration problems.


The issue arises in Los Angeles County Superior Court where more than 100 cases against Toyota for an alleged defect that causes sudden acceleration in vehicles have been consolidated.
