County May Add Agency to Probe Kids' Deaths

LOS ANGELES - After five years, Los Angeles County supervisors, responsible for appointing an inspector general to issue reports on deaths of children in county care, today will consider replacing the vacant position with a civilian oversight agency similar to one the Sheriff's Department uses.
