LOS ANGELES - Eighteen months after its controller cleaned out the Beverly Hills Bar Association's bank accounts, executives said Thursday the bar is restored to fiscal health.
"We were left without a single penny," bar President Ken Petrulis said at a celebratory luncheon. "But this bar association is still here fighting the good fight. And we have not just survived, we are thriving."
