Court Says Fair Use Can Include Ads From Rival
SAN FRANCISCO - Expanding fair use protection for advertising display of a competitor's copyrighted work, a federal appellate court on Thursday approved the use of side-by-side comparison ads of video games using TV-based Sony PlayStations and a competitor's computer-based game play.
