Sexual-Predator Law Causes Offenders to Seek Castration
It was no ordinary day in law and motion. William Charles Thiel filed a petition for surgical asexualization - a euphemism for castration. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Harold E. Shabo turned down Thiel's request before finding Oct. 27 that the convicted child molester must stand trial to determine whether he is dangerous enough to be designated a sexually violent predator.
