New-home sales down in Contra Costa

Contra Costa County new homes sales slipped during the first quarter of 2000 with overall sales in the region totaling 414 units. That is a decrease of 49.7 percent from the 823 units sold during first quarter 1999, according to figures released by the Meyers Group, a real estate information and consulting company based in Irvine.
