Washington - Five California-based companies were among the top 50 on the National Multi Housing Council's annual ranking of apartment owners released in March. Eight California-based companies were on NMHC's list of top 50 apartment managers. Three of the 13 California companies - BRE Properties Inc., FowlerShore & Flanagan and National Partnership Investments Corp. - were on both lists.
