Los Angeles Widom appointed to Building & Safety board Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan named Chester A. (Chet) Widom, FAIA, as a commissioner of the Board of Building and Safety. In his new role, Widom will help enforce city laws relating to the construction, alteration, repair and demolition of buildings or structures, as well as implementing the city zoning ordinance.
