9th Circuit Rules Public Funds Can Support Religious Rallies

SAN FRANCISCO - A deeply conflicted 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Thursday that public money may be used to support a prayer rally in a city park, a decision one religious rights group said could help free up tax funding of other nonsecular activities, including schools.
