Plaintiff Paints First Victory in Suit Over S.F. Building Mural
SAN FRANCISCO - A case that poses the novel question of who has the legal duty to recognize art survived its first legal challenge Friday. San Francisco Superior Court Judge Ronald Quidachay sided with the buyers of a Mission District building. They claim that the sellers failed to disclose that the brightly colored abstract mural on the side of the building was a legally protected work of art.
