Apple's failure to get injunction may make smartphone peace more likely

Apple Inc. lost its shot at a decisive victory over smartphone adversary Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. late Monday when a San Jose federal judge denied the Cupertino company's request for a permanent injunction.
