SDCBA installs 2013 board of directors at annual holiday reception

On Dec. 7, the San Diego County Bar Association (SDCBA) hosted "Stepping Up to the Bar," its annual holiday reception and installation of the 2013 Board of Directors. Marcella McLaughlin, an attorney in the San Diego District Attorney's Office, was sworn in as the Association's President for 2013. She is the first-ever Latino SDCBA President. McLaughlin has prosecuted cases in the District Attorney's Office for over seven years. She began her legal career in the City Attorney's office after graduating from California Western School of Law in 1998. "I look forward to leading the Association during this exciting time," said McLaughlin. "We are fortunate to have a very active and energetic legal community, and I believe that our new Bar Center, the Bar Center at 401, will better represent the progressiveness of San Diego's lawyers." Jon Williams, a partner at Boudreau Williams LLP, has been elected to the position of President-Elect, and will serve as SDCBA President in 2014.
