'Court Modernization Council' could relieve budget pressure

As a result of national and local economic troubles, California, and specifically Los Angeles County, is facing a court crisis of the first order. Recent reports from the Los Angeles County Superior Court indicate that as many as 10 courthouses in the county may close by next summer, as the court system must cut its budget by at least $55 million before June 30, 2013.
