Judge denies Avon's request to toss suit
A federal judge denied cosmetics company Avon Products Inc.'s effort to dismiss a lawsuit accusing it of testing foreign-market products on animals despite the company's claims that it tests none of its products on animals.

A federal judge denied cosmetics company Avon Products Inc.'s effort to dismiss a lawsuit accusing it of testing foreign-market products on animals despite the company's claims that it tests none of its products on animals. Plaintiff Marina Beltran filed a putative class action in March alleging that Avon employs animal testing for its overseas products, some of which are marketed in countries that she claims require the testing.
