Discipline defenders grumble about State Bar's continuing-education crackdown

Defense lawyers say the State Bar demands harsh discipline for false MCLE compliance reports. But an audit turned up a problem with the reporting form.

Since April, State Bar prosecutors have been working through more than two dozen cases of lawyers who falsely claimed to have completed their continuing education requirements.
