Domestic violence conviction reversed because defense cross-examination disallowed

A man found guilty in state court in Santa Barbara of beating and kicking his pregnant wife must have his conviction reversed because his lawyer was not allowed to ask the victim at trial about alleged threats from the prosecutor, a 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel held Thursday.
