Disability Rights Legal Center holds annual awards dinner

The Disability Rights Legal Center held its annual Franklin D. Roosevelt Dinner on Nov. 15 at the Omni Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. Loyola Law School Dean Emeritus Gerald T. McLaughlin, founding Associate Dean of business affairs Bob Cooney and Cancer Legal Resource Center founding director Barbara Ullman Schwerin recieved the Cancer Vangaurd Award. The Disability Rights in Entertainment, Arts & Media, or DREAM, Award went to the television drama series 90210 and the Disability in Sports Award was given to two-time X Games gold medalist Ashley Fiolek. -Connie Lopez
