$50 million settlement reached over contaminated San Bernardino County site

In one of the biggest settlements of its kind, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and 11 others entered into agreements worth more than $50 million to clean up contaminated groundwater in San Bernardino County.

In one of the biggest settlements of its kind, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and 11 other parties entered into agreements worth more than $50 million to clean up contaminated groundwater in San Bernardino County.


The settlements are the first in a labyrinth of litigation with many issues still unresolved, said Gene Tanaka, attorney for the city of Colton, one of the settling parties.
