Sheppard Mullin associate launches nation's first Thai American Bar Association

Juthamas Judy Suwatanapongched formed the Thai American Bar Association, a Los Angeles-based organization geared at helping members network and gain referrals. It's the first such group devoted to Thai lawyers in the U.S.

As a Thai-American growing up in Chicago, Juthamas Judy Suwatanapongched was deeply involved in local Thai communities. She attended Thai language school and participated in classical Thai dance performances.


As a lawyer, she wanted to feel a similar sense of camaraderie in the legal profession.
