Lobbyists for litigants plan ahead post-election

Surprisingly, lobbyists for litigation interests say Democratic supermajorities elected in both houses of the Legislature may not significantly impact consumer attorneys' fortunes.

Two weeks after the election, Sacramento lobbyists representing litigant interests are still assembling their legislative agendas. Familiar issues such as increasing medical lawsuit payouts and fighting corporate contracts that block class actions are likely to re-emerge.
