First Woman, Minority Will Pick Judges

SAN FRANCISCO - After stinging criticism that his judicial picks weren't diverse enough, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has appointed the first woman and the first minority as his new judicial appointments secretary.

      SAN FRANCISCO - After stinging criticism that his judicial picks weren't diverse enough, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has appointed the first woman and the first minority as his new judicial appointments secretary.
      Sharon Majors-Lewis, a Republican and longtime San Diego prosecutor, will succeed John Davies, who retired in January.
