Judges' Annual Gift Allowance Gets Inflation Boost to $350
As part of a routine adjustment, the state's Commission on Judicial Performance has increased the allowable value of gifts that a judge may receive from a single source during a calendar year.
Under Section 170.9 of the Code of Civil Procedure, judges now may receive gifts with value as high as $350. The previous limit, approved in February 2005, was $320.
