SAN DIEGO - Superior Court Judge J. Michael Bollman, who used his characteristically friendly manner to bring disputants in civil cases to amicable settlements, has died. He was 67.
A court source confirmed that the judge apparently took his own life Tuesday at his home. His family was not available for comment.
