Brown Takes Wheel on Climate Suits

Attorney General Jerry Brown signaled Thursday that he would rather reach a settlement than take auto manufacturers to trial to seek millions of dollars in damages caused by vehicle emissions of greenhouse gases. Nonetheless, Brown made it clear he has no intention of backing down on the federal suit filed last year.
