More Firms Offer $160,000 Starting Pay

LOS ANGELES - Just two days after New York's Simpson Thacher & Bartlett upped the ante to $160,000 for starting associate salaries, Quinn Emanuel Urquhart Oliver & Hedges and O'Melveny & Myers became the first California-based firms to match the new pay scale, firm officials said.
