A Case of Indigestion

Peter A. Mittenthal of Calabasas' Snyder, Dorenfeld & Tannenbaum won a defense verdict Jan. 24 in a confidential case alleging food poisoning at a restaurant.

        Despite a widely disseminated television news segment that revealed alleged health code violations at his client's restaurant, defense counsel took advantage of the media's legal privilege not to reveal news gathering information to convincingly argue that a customer's supposed food poisoning occurred elsewhere.
