The Microsoft loss to Alcatel-Lucent still holds the fi ve-year record, but last year?s verdicts were generous, lawyers said. Big business verdicts towered over individual plaintiff wins last year. Only two personal injury claims cracked the top-verdicts list this round, as opposed to 2007, which had fi ve wins for injured individuals.
