The JAMS Foundation recently approved eight grants to organizations across the country that are using innovative ways to promote and advance conflict prevention and dispute resolution. Three of the organizations to receive the grants are based in California: Kids Turn San Francisco, for the development of an interactive online program; UC Hastings College of Law, for its Court ADR Summer Institute, which prepares non-U.S. lawyers, judges and court professionals to design and implement court-ADR programs in their respective countries; and the Quack & Wabbit Puppet Theatre in Eureka, for the completion of its bullying prevention puppetry program. The grant amounts are as follows: Kids Turn San Francisco, $30,000, UC Hastings, $47,7000, and $10,000 to Quack & Wabbit. -Connie Lopez
