Retired Justice Carlos Moreno speaks at Justice Gap Fund

Best, Best & Krieger LLP hosted the Justice Gap Fund Reception on Oct. 30 in its Los Angeles office. Guest speaker, retired Associate Justice of the California Supreme Court Carlos Moreno, helped present awards to law firms that provided the highest rates of attorney participation during the 2012 Justice Gap Fund Campaign. The firms honored were: Bingham McCutchen LLP, Farella Braun & Martel LLP, Fenwick & West LLP, Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP, Kirkland & Ellis LLP, Latham & Watkins LLP, Morrison & Foerster LLP, Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP, Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP and Sidley Austin LLP. The Justice Gap Fund collects voluntary contributions that are distributed by the State Bar of California's Legal Services Trust Fund Program to legal aid organizations statewide. -Connie Lopez
