Santa Clara University law school dean to quit

Donald Polden, the dean of the Santa Clara University School of Law, announced Wednesday he will step down as dean this summer, following the completion of a second fifth-year term.

Donald Polden, dean of Santa Clara University School of Law, announced Wednesday he will step down in July following the completion of his second five-year term.


Polden was named dean at Santa Clara in 2003 after serving the same role at the University of Memphis for 10 years. He will take a year-long sabbatical before returning to Santa Clara as a law professor in 2014.
