Tokyo ATM operator closes LA teller company purchase

Seven Bank's purchase of Los Angeles-based Financial Consulting & Trading International is the latest in a growing trend of Japanese companies purchasing companies outside of Japan.

Consistent with a growing trend of Japanese companies purchasing companies outside of Japan - including many in the United States - Tokyo-based bank and ATM operator Seven Bank Ltd. announced Tuesday it closed a $130 million deal late last week to acquire one of the largest ATM operators in the nation.
