New State Bar building in Los Angeles will cost $50 million

The State Bar will pay $50 million to buy a new headquarters building in downtown Los Angeles, mostly in cash. The deal could eventually boost funding for legal services.

The State Bar will pay $50 million for its new headquarters building in downtown Los Angeles, primarily in cash, including about $28 million from the upcoming sale of a parking lot the bar owns near the Staples Center.
