Cooley LLP celebrates new office in Santa Monica

A couple hundred business people and local politicians turned out Sept. 27 for a party celebrating the opening of Cooley LLP’s Santa Monica office. The Palo Alto-based firm is the first of the major Silicon Valley law firms to open in Santa Monica since a rush of established tech companies, including Google Inc., and startups moved into the area, which Los Angeles Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa has dubbed ‘Silicon Beach.’ Santa Monica is Cooley’s 11th office.
