Corporate legal spend on the rise, survey finds

Corporate legal spending is finally on the rise in the United States and worldwide, according to a survey released Friday by HBR Consulting.

After years of stagnant or decreasing legal spending spurred by the recession, many corporations are devoting more money to legal needs across the board.


A survey of law departments by HBR Consulting found that legal departments around the world increased total legal spending by 5 percent from 2010 to 2011, returning to levels reported in 2009.
