State Bar shuts down lawyer's practice because of fraud

Ontario lawyer Gary David Tracy mislead distressed homeowners, according to the bar. Among his abuses included filing shell petitions on behalf of clients and letting non-lawyers essentially take over the firm's practice.

The State Bar shut down the operations Thursday of an Ontario lawyer who defrauded homeowners in foreclosure by falsely promising them he could help save their homes.
