Errors Don't Change Juvenile-Offender Ruling
LOS ANGELES - In what a state appellate panel called "an unfortunate but blessedly rare" occurrence, the justices have affirmed a decision declaring a juvenile offender a ward of the state, even though they agreed that the trial judge and prosecutor erred.
